Atmospheric pressure has decreased considerably in tho South for the passage of a wcst-erlv depression, and variable breezes have given placc to freshening northcrlics to-day. Warm and fair to cloudy weafrher has prevailed generally. Present indications arc for increasing north-westerly to scuth-weutcrly winds, ana tho weather v.arm and fair to cloudy on tbe East Coast a.nd in tlie northernmost districts, but unsettled accl cloudy, with rain probable soon, especially southwards of New Plymouth and C'astlepoint. The barometer ia unsteady, with a falling tendency.
