MINISTERIAL.
1 Sir James Allen and Lady Allen arrived from "Wellington l>y yesterdny's ferry steamer, and paid a call on his Excellency the Governor-General. »Sir James Allen and the Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs, attended in the morning a meeting of tho Executive Council, over which his Excellency presided. Sir James and Lady Allen left for Dunedin by tho express. The Minister returns north next Tuesday. The Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister oF Internal Affairs, arrived from Wellington yesterday morning, and after attending a meeting of tho Executive Council, received deputations in the Ministerial Room at the New Government Departmental Buildings. This morning Mr Russell will receive deputations. and at 2.30 p.m. will formally open the Bakers' and Pastrycooks' Exhibition in the Colosseum. To-morrow the Minister will attend the New Brighlon Gala, and will lcavo for Wellington in the evening.
