ON THE SEAS.
ANOTHER GERMAN FAILURE. (®T Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (United Service.) LONDON, November 6. It is authoritatively stated that the electrically-controlled boat recontly sunk by British vessels off the Belgian coast, was a largo petrol-driven, surfaco, torpjedo-liko vessel, filled with explosives, paying out a thin wire connccted with the shoro, from which it was -controlled, whilst aircraft conned its movements. The first of this type of vessel was used a fortnight ago, when it dashed at high speed into a neighbourtog pior, wrecking the harbour works. Another was tried in the Channel, but Was easily destroyed by British torpedo •craft. The third and fourth attempts . fere similarly a fiasco.
