A FALSE MACHINE. John Edward Newman (Mr Meares) was charged with using a false Weighing maehino. Mr Meares said that the machine was only an ounce out, and as , defendant was a wholesale dealer this amrunt would bo of small eonsccr i?o in liis dealings. • Defendant was finod 10s aud costs, j TA'TT ELTON. Eight charges of breaches of prohibition orders were remanded until November 14th.
