Lieutenant- Juriss says he has been receiving a number of parcels of comforts and constant communications from his relatives in New Zealand, though the latter aro somewhat belated. "To break this monotony we indulge in physical training, fencing, and other recreative exorcises, al! of which have a tendency, to make us forgot our surroundings and improve matters generally. The general discussion hero at present is the exchange of prisonors of war, and no doubt if; will be a splendid idea when carried into effect, becauso there are a groat number of deserving cases here and in other parts of Germany, not to mention tho sick and disabled. As regards myself, 1 hold out no hopes of being classed among tho possibles, owing to the fact that I am very much junior, besides which I have only about fifteen months' internment to my unfortunate credit."
