PRICE OF CORRUGATED IRON.
COMPLAINT IN THE HOUSE. (SPECIAL TO ''THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, September 27. A case of alleged exploitation by an importer was mentioned in the House of Representatives to-day by Mr G. V. Pearce. He asked the i'rime Minister if h© knew that an English firm, with a branch at Wellington —Lysaght and Co.—had lately imported 500 tons of corrugated iron into New Zealand. No other firms could get this commodity, and tho result was that tiiis firm, having a monopoly, had been able to advance the price to about £100 a ton.
