ONE OF "UNION COMPANY'S CARGO VESSELS. fsPECIAI. TO "THE PRESS.") DUNEDIN. July 16. Some anxiety is being felt in shipI pinjr circles concerning the *whcre- | a bouts of oils of iho Union St-eara Ship Company's largo cargo steamers. The ■vessel left a New Zealand port some weeks ago for a Pacific Coast port. Sho was due at her destination over a fortnight ago, and although -effort s have been made to get into touch with tho steamer by wireless, n<> tidings have been received as to her possible whereabouts; Other steamers of the Union Company's floct which uso the same track as tha overdue vessel have been instructed by wireless to keep a sharp lookout for her, and it is hoped thatsomo news will be received at any time now. Tho steamer (the name of which cannot be mentioned) may possibly _ have met v.'ith an accident to her machinery.
