(SrSCLU, TO "the tress.") WELLINGTON, July 16. The position in regard to the gas supply would appear to bo improving. Yosterdav the hours at which the supply -was available -wore regulated with a view to providing for the domestic cookery demand, and meeting the convenience of church-goers. To-day the supply was made available at/ a.m., and it is possible that it will be eontinned for a little while after 8.30 p.m., the hour stated for cutting off. The management hope to be able to make a gradual extension of the hours this weak.
