CASUALTIES.
An eight-montbs-old child, the eon of Mrs J. Stack, London street Lyttelton, died apparently of suffocation in its cot yesterday afternoon. Tho mother visited the cot abont 2 p.m. and found that tho infant had turned over face downwards, caught its head in the corner of the cot. And had evidently been unable to extricate itself. An inquest will be held at 10.30 a.m. today.
