NO YOLUNTAIiY ENLISTMENTS AFTER SATURDAY. (press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, June IS. A proclamation has been issued that voluntary enlistment in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force of Reservists over twenty-one years of age. belonging to the First Division of the .Reserve, shall cease throughout New Zealand on Saturday next, June 23rd. AN ELEVENTH-HOUR KL'SH. THIRTY-THREE VOLUNTEERS YESTERDAY. The officials at the Government Recruiting Bureau were kept extremely busy yesterday signing on volunteers for* service with the Expeditionary Force, 33 men registering. 1 his is the largest total recorded for one day at the recruiting office for several months past. THE SECOND DIVISION. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TEtEGRAM.) WELLINGTON. June 18. The Council of the Central Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution endorsing the opinion of the Second Division League that adequate pensions and allowances Bhould be provided for dependants; also that the Chamber is of opinion that the Defence Department should arrange with medical practitioners to so systematise their work as -to enable men to be examined as early as possible before the ballots are held, and thereby minimise industrial disorganisation.
