Mrs Cole supplied trie music for the dancing. A farewell social was tendered at Culverdon to Trooper who was on final lea'A'. Mr I'. Croft presided over a good attendance, S'.nd in presenting Trooper MeAdam a purse of sovereigns, referred to iuv guest's many sterling qualities. Songs j Mere contributed bv Messrs McGowan, j G. McAdam, J. Gallagher, and L. Brv- i ant. Messrs Davison. Fislmr, Flower, and Tiavers also spoke in highest terms of the esteem in which Trooper •deAdam is held throughout the district. Refreshments were handed round, and a very enjoyable evening was spentMr Mark Maw, of Southbridge. formerly of Doyleston. who Wt for Trcrttliam camp during the week, was. prior to his departure, entertained by Ihe residents of Doyleston, and presented with a pipe.
