BY-LAW JiKEACITES. George Uulioi (Mr Taylor) was fined 20s, without costs. o n a charge of driving a motor-ear over a railway crossing; in front of an approaching tram. Albert Small was fined 10s and costs for cycling on tho p:ith in Sydenham Park, and a similar penalty was imposed on Daniel George for riding a motor-cycle through t?ie Park. Having left a motor-car unattended in a street in Biccarton. James Ji. Maxwell was fined 5s and costs. Alice Parkinson, charged with driving a motor-car without a certificate of ability, was convictcd and ordered to pay costs. George Kenninmouth. for driving; cattle in Mandeville street, was fined 10s and costs. , TRUANCY CASES. Charged with failing to send Lis children to school regularly, Robert Hamilton was fined £1 and costs. Mrs •J. Smith and \V. Mnssou were each fined 2s on. similar chargcs. DAIIFIELD. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.Mj) For failing to attend drill G. T. duller and John Salvidge were each fined 40s and costs, and 10. liawko convicted and discharged. A charge against W. C. Beavall was withdi'awn bv tho Defence Department. For failing to render peitonal service. I'. F. C. Francis was fined 10s and costs. In Gibbs Pros. v. McLaughlin, claim £49 7s 2d for threshing, judgment was given for the amount uaid i 1.1 to court, £4G 17s 9d, less 1- f J.s solicitors' exncnsc.s. In Yvin. 15- Tlout v.
