CANTERBURY RUGBY I.EAGUE. The 'Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Leajnic moj on Saturday, Mr A. E. Hooper presiding over a full attendance of delegates. A vole of sympathy was passed to tiho relatives of the la to B. Bat6tone, formerly of the Addington Club, and the late A. JCankerville, formerly of the Northern Suburbs Club, both killed in action. It was decided that the ,'third grade fixture between Sydenham and Linwood, nt Sydenham Park, next Saturday, commence at 1.45 p.m.. the senior grade game between Hornby and Sydenham to be played 011 the same ground at 3 o'clock. It wa« agreed that all team captains provide refere?s with a list of players prior to the commencement of matches, and each-re-feree to hand in to Mr Bruneden tho lists of pljyers on Saturday evenings by 8 o'clock. The application of the Sydenham Club for an alteration to members' cards was agreed to. The following are the fixtures, referee®, and grounds for Saturday next: — First. Grade—Hornby v. Sydenham (Mr Hooper), at Sydenham Park; Lin wood -v. Federal (Mr Brunsden), at St. Albans Park. Seccnd Grade—Addington v. Federal (Mr J. Stevena)f Wharenui School ground, ' Cutler's roa/l: Sydenham v. Linwood (Mr A. Morris), Linwood Park.
Third Grade—Sydenham v. Linwood (Mr Garrard), Sydenham Park: Federal v. Hornby (Mr R. Mateori), at Hornby. CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. At h meeting of the Canterbury Football Association there wore present—Messrs J. 3. Hurley (chairman), Davies, Bryco, Knox, Bunt, Perry, Hillgrovc, Turner, Connor, and F. Gallon (hon. sccrctary). A letter was received from Mr R. E. McDougall (donor of the Aulsebrook cup.), accepting- the office of vice-president. " The secretary was instructed to write thanking him for his generous help and donation. It was resolved tha.t the competitions commence on Saturday next. The following entries have been received:—Seniors: St. Albans, Linwood, Nomads, and possibly Rangers-United. Third grade: Western (A and B), St. Albans, Linwood, Technics.! Co?, lege, iind Nomads. Fourth grade: 8.G.H., St. B-de'e, St. Albans, Noma-de, and possibly a-colbcr. Mr Bunt reported that whilst at Wellington recently Mr Salmon expressed a wisn to bring n team of boys to Giriatchurch and play two matches, and it was decided to accept the chaKcrre, the boys to be the guests of the C.F.A.
