OBITUARY.

A well-known and respected resident of Dtmedin died on Tuesday at. her j residence, Mbrnington, in tho person of Mrs Alexander, widow of Dr. E. Vr. Alexander. Mrs Alexander arrived in Duncdin wit-h her husband in. 1863, and with the exception of occasional visits to England had lived there ever since. Mr G. W. 31 oss (formerly of the West Coast, but now retired and living in Mastertpn) is a brother of Mrs _ Alexander, and tho lato Mr J redenck •»• Moss (for many years a member of the Xew Zealand Parliament, and afterwards the ftrst British Resident, of the Cook Islands) was another brother. The death occurred on Monday of Mr William Archer., of Macdonakl crescent, Wellington, who was for a great many years in charge of the Government Insurance Buildings in «e»lingtou. The deceased, who was bl years of age, was born in Pinner, Kugland, and had lived in Wellington sunco 1872. He ha* left a widow and a family of four sons and live daughters. Mr Patrick Gregaii, machinery agent, who met with a fatal accident at Hamilton last Friday, having, while ruling a niotor-cvcle, collided with the express train "at a level crossing. was born at Pleasant.
