A BRITISH SUCCESS. ENEMY CLEANED UP. (By Cable.—Prera Association.—Copyright.) ("Th* Times.") • LONDON, December 11. A Mrogoro telegram eays that the German General Wahle attacked a 6mall post at Nquomingo in full force, and after a hopeless but desperate resistance, the British retired, leaving prisoners. General Wahlo continued south, and attacked Malingala, whore Captain Marriott unexpectedly resisted for four d/.ys, at the end of which Colonel Murray's relieving force, attacking from the flank, forced General Wahlo back t 0 Lupembe. Colonel Murray was reinforced, and pursued the enemy towards Mahonge, killing G and taking prisoner 33. After a strong pursuit, General Wablo surrendered. Seven white officers, 47 white men. and 240 Askaris, together with a howitzer and 3 maxims were captured, while a forco detached from General Wahle earlier in tho hope of enveloping Northey, was rounded up at Itomfculo.
Captain Marriott was swarded the Military Cross on tho field
