Conditions on the Bradford market arc moro cheerful, though business is quiet, awaiting the opening of the London sales. The Government's first condition in regard to sales is that no wools which eomo direct from tho growers may b« offered before Christmas. It is estimated that this will affect about half tho quantity available. There is no information as to what will be done after Christmas. The Army Council has ordered &L' persons engaged in the purchase ao4 sale of wool to enter into such guarantees as the Director of Army Contract* may require. THE POSITION IN NEW ZEALAND. NEGOTIATIONS WITH WOOLBROKERS. (IFKCLLL TO "THI Pit ESS.") WELLINGTON, December 12. The Minister of Commerco hts not yet been able to come to terms with the brokers about the charge they are to make lor the display of wool tot sale, insurance, handling, and storage for shipment. The brokers are raising no difficulties; on the contrary, the firms are helping the Government in every possible way. The brokers demand u flat rate of ad, and the Minister is fighting for a rate of £d. The real difficulty in the way of settlement is that neither the brokers nor tho Minister know what the service* to bo rendored will amount to. It may bo that id will prove to be a payable rate, and it may bo that even id will prove to be unpavable to the brokers. Another question of somo importance remaining unsettled has to do with the prices to be paid for skins. On this point the Government is awaiting advice from Home, but meantime the matter is causing some embarrassment,
