MESSAGE FROM THE SEA.

♦— _ FROM i\EW ZEALAND SOLDIERS. (From the "North-Fastern Advertisor.'') We have received from Mr F. Poole, of Waterhouse, a particularly interesting sheet of letter paper, containing the signatures and addresses of 19 Divisional Signallers of tho 14th New Zealand R-oinforcements, with a memo, at the foot: —"At sea in Australian Bight, Ist, 1916. Weather fair." The bottle enclosing the sheet of paper has therefore had a remarkable journey of hundreds of miles boforo it was picked up by Mr PooJo at Waterhouse, on the north-cast coast of Tasmania, on November 17th, over four and a-half months after it was thrown overboard. It will interest the relatives and friends of the New Zealand soldiers, as well as the men themselves, to learn that their message hag been found, and may we hope that they will share the same good luck, and come through j safely in tho end. Attached is a copy I of tho note:— Divisional Signallers, 14th New Zealand Reinforcements. 0. T. Lawrence, Stratford, N.Z. A. O. Martin. 397 Durham street, Christchuroh, N.Z. H. K.
