The country is deeply impressed by the publication of Canadian casualties totalling over 65,000. The figures arc unquestionably strengthening the conscription movement. JLUSTRJLLIA'S ARMY. AN INQUIRY DESIRED. MELBOURNE. December 8. Tho Labour Conference urged Labour Senators, in view of the enormous expenditure and unsatisfacctory and inconsistent reports received concerning the Army, to move for tho appointment of a Commission to enquire .into .the management of the Australian Army. THE CENSORSHIP. MELBOURNE, December 8. The Senate is debating a motion to abolish the regulation requiring submission to the Censor of all matter relating to the 'war before publication. Senator Pearce said he had proof that German agents were not without friends in Australian-Parliaments. The motion was carried by 17 votes to 14.
