Deputy Troupczynski asserted that the Pole* were being deported like the Belgians. On August 21st 29,000 Poles were working in Germany, enticed there by contracts, then they were not allowed to return. Also, many were forcibly transported to Germany, employers paying what they pleased. Many Poles were whipped until" they signed renewals of contracts.
