KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION

The monthly meeting of the Kindergarten Association was held on "Wednesday, Mr Taylor presiding over a largo attendance. An apology tor absence was received from Mrs Ashman. Kindergarten Day was definitely fixed for the afternoon of December 13tn, and will be held at tli© Art Gallery. BROMLEY SCHOOL COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Bromley School Committee was held on Wednesday. Present—Mrs A. Christian, Messrs Chambers, Lillv and Moore. The headmaster reported -tie roll number to be 102, and the aver, ago attendance 04. A committee was appointed to procure prizes, which "will oe .given on th* afternoon of the 15th ' Th© use of the schoolroom wa» granted for a -oublic meeting, to discuss i Queen and other means of raising funds Iw tne purchase of material for the local branch of the Red Cross and Lady Liverpool Fund. JUVENILE RECHABITES. The half-yearly meeting of the Pride pi Lin-wood Juvenile Tent, 1.0. R., was held m the Eechabite Hall on Wednesday evening. Sister M. Rowlands presided, and there was a good attendance of members. The followintr officers were elected for the ensuing term:— C.R., Bro. A. Kent; D.R., Sister Dempsey; secretary, Sister C. Kent; treasurer Sister Mrs Leaver; lovite, Sister Stan- ; ton; guardian, Bro. J. Pafctison; stewards, Sister Ramsey and Sister J. Rattray. During the evening a presentation was m&de to Bro. G-. E. Bielby, jnn., who enlisted eome time since and will shortly leave for camp. Bro. Leaver. D.5.J.8., in making the presentation, eulogised the work of the recipient, who had been associated with the branch since its inception five years ago. and whoso efforts were mainly' responsible for the splendid success accomplished. Votes of condolence were carried with Sisters Mrs Leaver and D. Ramsay, who had recently suffered bereavements through the war.
