THE "WEEKLY PRESS."
The 19th Reinforcements had a splendid parade at' Wellington during last week, and some excellent pictures of it are printing in the "Weekly Press" to he issued to-morrow. 1 They give the impression that the men nro well iup to the stamp of the comrades they will eventually join, and capablo of sustaining the good name the New Zealand soldiers have made, at the front. The same issue contains several graphic illustrations of scenes that havo been alluded to in cable messages and special notes at different times. "The last two minutes in the trenches" depicts the eager Allies waiting to rush orcr the parapet as soon as the officer, who is counting the seconds, gives the word. Italians in the mountains and crossing a stream are suggestive of the vigour and re. source these hardy fighters display, and the capture of Guillemont by "bayonet. butt, and fist" tells more than many lines of writing of the gallantry, nersistence, and fearlessness of the Irish. Australian nurses for the front, and nurses crossing the English Channel, present other aspects of the war, and the group of officers and non-coms, of the 22nd Reinforcements, and a scene at the camp of the same body which twice won tho champion cup presented each week for tho best kept lines, aro illustrative of the excellent work being done in the New Zealand : training camps.
