PAPER WITH A PRICE ON ITS HEAD. Ths N newspaper "La Litre Belgique," ■"which, in spite of all the vigilance of the German authorities, continues to be published in Brussels, recently issued . a special number on the anniversary of Belgian, independence containing tlio National Anthem, an article about the anniversary, and a patriotic drawing (says a Reutcr message of September 12th). The German authorities have offered i a reward of £3750 to anyone disclosf iajr the identity of the editors and publishers. However, «>n editorial note in the "Libre Belgique" states that the paper ia "written and printed in a motorcar," and its publication continues. In this connexion Senator Hallet has already been arrested and taken to Germany. Several other arrests have been made an d a number of persons brought before courts-martial, including a man named Dubar, who was sentenced to deportation, and a priest, "who was sentenced to eleven years' hard labour, and also Mks Schepens, who has to undergo five years' imprisonment.
