WELLINGTON, September 18.

Kegulations wore gazetted to-night constituting military districts, groups, and areas. Tho Canterbury military district comprises "the following groups: —

No. 0 (Christchuxch) Group, comprising tho Counties of Waimairi, Heathcote, Paparua, Halswell, Mount Herbert, Akaroa, Waircwa, and Chatham Islands.

No. 10 (South Canterbury) Group, comprising the Counties of Ashburton, Goraldine, Levels, 'Wairaate, and Mackenzie, No. 11 (North Canterbury) Group, comprising the Counties of Amuri, Cheviot, Waipawa, Ashley. Kowai, Rangiora, Oxford, Eyre, Tawera, Malvern, Springs, Ellesmere, and Se-lwym.

No. 2i (West Coast) Group, comprising tho Counties of Westland, Grey, Inangahua, Buller, and Murchison.

No. 12 (Nelson) Group, comprising tho Counties of Collingwood, Takaka, Waimea, Sounds, _ Marlborough, Awatere, and Kaikoura.

Each group snail include all cities, boroughs, and town districts which are included within tho exterior boundaries of any county comprised in that group.
