Others were firm. Tho following prices were realised for the fleece portions of tho New Zealand clips named:—Gear, top 19d, average lBjd; Omarama, top lSd. average METALS. Tin—Stocks. 21,C00 tons; on spot, 2512: afloat, 3100; deliveries, 1852. SHEEPSKINS. There was a good attendance, and active competition; about 1500 bundles wero offered, and sold at an average of a pennv advance, mostlv ou merinos. WHEAT. (Received Juno -Ith. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. June 3. The market is quiet and tending easier. Chicago July options are quoted at 1053 to 103 - cents, and September at 10, i to 105 J. FROZEN MEAT. Very little meat is being marketed. Quotations: —New Zealand mutton, 9d; Australian, Bjd; South American, lOj-d. New Zealand and Australian lamb, "lOd; South' American, 12 Jd. MISCELLANEOUS. Rabbits—The market- is quiet. New South Wales blues, ex store. 24s or 255. It is expected that about half will be condemned. Jute—The market is lifeless, and quotations are nominal. Hemn—The market is dull and unchanged. Rubber—Para. 2s S£.d ; Plantation, 2s 7d; smoked.. 2s 6Jd. Copra—May-June shipment. £33 ss. Cotton—June-July shipment, B.lid. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. (Received June. 4th. 7.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 3. The wool sales have been postponed pending the Imperial Government's final decision regarding the embargo. The Federal Minister of Customs has cabled for a futl statement of the Imperial attitude. SATURDAY'S POULTRY -MARKET. Messrs J. 13. Merrett and Co. had a fair entry, prices being lirm. Table chickens realised 5s Gd to 8s 7d," duck;* 4s 6d to 7s, hens 2s 6d to 5s 3d, pullets 3s (id to 8s 9d, geese 7s to Bs, turkeys lis to 23s —all per pair. EGG MARKET. The egg market continues firm, there being a good demand for first grades. Canterbury Egg Circle, first grades, realised 2s 3d,' seconds 2s per dozen. DAR FIELD MARKET. Only a moderate number of sheopwere yarded at Darfield on Friday, about 1100 fats and 400 stores. Thero was keen competition, all lots selling under the hammer. Tho principal sales were: On account Wm. Stott, fat wethers; at 265, ewes 24s 3d; on account Hannant Bros., lambs at 20s; on account H. A. Knight, 52 lambs at 23s sd; account W. McSweeney, 48 ewes at 24s lid and 235 lambs at 23s 3d; on account Mrs T. Green, 140 lambs at 235. In the storo pens 250 forward wethers sold at from 21s to 245, and lines of store lambs at 16s 7d and 16s 9d.
