1 REPORTED BASIS OF SETTLEMENT. (By Cable.—Pr&es Association. —Copyright.) LONDON, Juno 2. The "Evening Standard" states that a basis of agreement lias been reached in connexion with tho Irish question. It is proposed to immediately establish a Parliament consisting of tho present Nationalist members ii* the House of Commons, thus avoiding an inopportune election in Ireland. Ulster will remain under the Imperial Parliament, unices she chooses to be governed by her own Provincial Parliament. Mr Lloyd George seeks to satisfy both parties. A chance -will be left open for bridging the gulf after the war with a fuil settlement of the whole problem.
