The Bulgarian concentrations are threatening Seres, Drama, and Kavala. The Allies view the with equanimity, as the policy of throwing open the gates of Macedonia is deemed to concern Greece alone. Twenty-five Bulgarians were killed and forty-five men, including . three Germans, were wounded in the fighting at Kula. Important Bulgarian forces aro concentrating at Nevrokop. The Greeks still hold the town of Demirhissar, but the inhabitants have left. The enemy are bombarding the Fiench advanced lines along the Vardar. ;■ _ The inhabitants of Seres are petition- . ing the Government for protection owing to the Bulgarians' invasion. They point out thjit powerful bands of comitadjis (irregulars) have appeared in the Drama region, where their presence is interpreted as being preparatory to on advance on Kavala. A previous message said the'commander of the Kola position was unable to bear the mortification of seeing the Bulgarians invade Greece. He did not obey the local general's orders, and opened" fire on the Bulgarians, who re- . plied but did not advance. When categorical orders from Athens were ceived, the Greeks evacuated Kula (five miles north of Rupel). LONDON, May 30. Tho Salonica correspondent of the "Daily Chronicle" says the Greeks continue to hold the railway station at Demirhissar. The Bulgarians have taken up positions on the heights within two miles of the town. Tho concentration «t Nevrokop foreshadows tho continuance of the Bulgarian advance in Eastern Macedonia. THE ALLIES' POSITION. GENERAL SARRAIL'S VIEW. PARIS. May 30. The Salonica correspondent of the "Petit Parisien" reports that General Sarrail, questioned regarding the enemy's reccnt activity, shrugged his, shoulders, and remarked: "All this is merely to conceal the relieving of troops. They aro wasting a lot of ammunition of poor quality, without result. "We will leave them alone at present, and only, reply if it becomes annoying.
