German L'nlans have occupied the Demirhissar railway station. It is believed that the Greek garrison has evacuated Demirlussar.. v The presence of Bulgarian and German patrols in the Demirhissar region has compelled the French to discontinue their motor service for supplying the Greeks in eastern Macedonia. The Greeks in north-eastern Macedonia are falling back on Virrid. The Serbians are claiming the privilege of fighting in the Allies' front rank. A huge gathering in the Church of St, Sophia, Salonica, held a demonstration against' Bulgaria. Strong speeches were made denouncing the Premier. The crowd cheered M. venizelos, and the Allies, and telegraphed to King Constantine, protesting against "the abandonment of forts built with the blood of martyrs." The crowd tried to wreck a cafe where a number of Greek soldiers gave cheers for the Germans. French gendarmes assisted in keeping off the crowd. ATHENS, May 29. Mr Martin Donohue, British Press correspondent, says that apart from protesting to the Central Powers it is unlikely that Greece will act. Kin 2 Constantino, who was absent from Athens, returned immediately, and summoned the Premier and War Minister, with whom he held a long consultation. The Government is experiencing difficulty in alloying the grave concern shown by the newspapers and the public. The Greeks regard tie Bulgarian invasion "3s a national insult.
