Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather report at 4 p.m. yesterday:— Dull and cloiidy weather h-aa ruled in the northern and southernmost districts, and showers have fallen on the Eaet Ooast of the North Island. Moderate to strong easterly winds have prevailed, and a southeasterly galo is reported at East Ca-po this evening. Atmospheric pressure lias decreased everywhere. Present indications axe for strong easterly changing to northerly winds. Expect warm, humid conditions, with . increasing cloud and li&zinees, rain following on the Northern and West Coast districts, and the barometer falling everywhere.
