WAIRARAPA MEETING. (STECIAL TO "THE TRESS.") CKEYTOAVX, ilarcii 10. Tb© Wairarapa Rifle Association's meeting was concluded to-day in much the same weather a3 yesterday. Shooting commenced uitb. the Wairarapa Match, of ten shuts at 'JOO yards, which was the las* for the Championship. Canterbury men were in lorm, and figured well in the list. J. Bryricn, of Kaiapoi, by putting on a. brilliant possihle, won his second match. It was a splendid ehoot, and a hearty round ;of applause greeted his effort. AV. Holton. lof Christchurch, secured third place with IP. J. Liddle and E. 1". Saiulfonl wci° also well up with 115 each. W. K. Williams, of Ohura. started off as though he was in for another good ecore, but found trouble and liaiihed with 11. Thi* was, however, enough to win tho Championship with, as it was not possible for anybody eifo to head him off. X Wood, of Christchurch, who was eecond to AVilliama in the asrsresato before shooting started fo r tho liual, also found trouble, and got a. miss for his sixth shot. He linished with -10 and lost •rrmind. Brvden, by his fine shoot'incr, placed himself three points ahead of Wood, in pfcoml place, behind V.'illiams. AYood (Christchurch) scored 101, and J. Carter (I'ctonc) IUO in tho match. Sixteen teiims took part. The Tyro Match, of ten shots at 500 yards drew GO entries, and was won by E. Brocket, with a. possible. Canterbury men in tho prize list were:—J. Robwtfon (Christchurch) ■IS, W. Marsdcn (Kniapoi) ■!", and A. Harris J Brydcn, by his "hooiinff ove r SOO niri 900 yards, won the Eivcrs Challenge Cup. He tied Williams for tho MaunseH Cup, which is for the. asjtregute. over 600, SOD, and 900 yards, but in the ehoot off Williams beat him.
