ON THE SEAS.
THE SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN. BRITISH STEA3IEB SUNK. ("Tim«s" and "Sydney Sua" S«rvlM».) (Received December 16th, 1.40 fc.ra.) LONDON, December 1.5. The steamer Ortctic was sunk. All the crew were saved except two men. Tho Ortcric was a large cargo steattioi of 653(3 tons gross register, built in 1911, and owned by Messrs Andrew Weir and Co., of Glasgow. A DUEL IN~THE AIR. GERMAN MACHINE DESTROYED. (Received December 15th, 11.40 p.m.) LONDON, December 15. The Admiralty announce that FlightLieutenants Graham and Ince engaged a largo German Ncaplane off tho Belgian coast. Tho German machine exploded as it fell. It burst into flames and bank. Tho British machine was damaged by tho »ro of machine-guns, and foil into tho sea. Tho pilot was rescued.
