310 BE TURKISH CLAIMS. HEAVY BRITISH LOSSES. AMSTERDAM. December 10. A Turkish communique says:— "The enemy's resistance on the Tigris is decreasing. Wc sanguinarily repulsed British sorties." (Received December 12th, 0.0 p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE. December 11. An official communique tays:— ''.Wc inflicted great losses on the enemy at Kut-el-Amara. We compelled a division on the right bank of the Tigris to retreat to Kut-el-Amara."
