Scott that the New Zealand Racing Conference be urge<l to discontinue racing during the continuance of the jvar. First Glance, who galloped after the interval, ran a mile very evenly, and got !.-> the end of it in 1.42 3-5. Peronilla finished on well when running six furlongs in i. 1 ■'>, and Hoc did not seem overtaxed m running a similar distance in 1.10. A largo number of horses wove given l.arrier practice, but nor.e of them showed any exceptional promise as beginners. The two Kilbroney colts in M. Hobbs's stable, Jvilboyr.e and Kilkee, ran on to the end of six furlongs from one of the despatches, and the English filly Greenstreet was allotted a similar task.
