A meeting was held in Rangiora l»*b night to set up a committee to mak-> arrangemonts for representations to to ■ , made to the directors of tho propo-f-l new freezing works, in the hope of having Rangiora chosen as tho site for tho . works. Tho meeting was laigely attended by business men. and Mr »• McGruer was voted to tho chair. Tho meeting went into , discuss the proposal, and it was •-- cided to canvass the district to secure the support of farmers to tho propo&ou works.
