(rRKSS ASSOCIATION TEI-GRAM.) WELLINGTON, May 20. The quarterly m<-et„g of the Council of the New lie—and Lawn Tennis Association was hold to-night, Mr M. E. Uenniston presiding. Ther-i was ft I__© attendance of delegates. Tho report of tlie Management Committee dealing with matters considered by the conjmitteo since last Council meeting was presented. The committee expicseed the opinion that the right to rebandicap players after tho first round should not continue. Tim suggestion of the Council to use the AyrIra'l at the next New Zealand championships, to be played at AS'ellington, if satisfactory arrangements can be made, was adopted by the committee. Mi- Ross (Gore) has been requested to act a* - delegate to the A*J«tralasian Association in place of Mr Henry Braddon, who was unable to accept the position. It was reported that no challcugefof tbo Davis Cup had been received by the Australasion Association. On tho motion of Mr D. A. Kean, it was decided—"That tbe matter of adopting ->r approving of one- or more makes of halt for tho New Zealand Championship Meeting in each yea- be referred to each affiliated Aesociation in each year for it* opinion, tho matter to bo decided at a subsequent meeting of tho Counci ." . It was agreed;— "That this Association instruct its delegate or delegates on tho Council of tho Lawn Tennis Association of. Australasia- to move at the next meeting of that Council that the accumulated Davis Cup funds bo now distributed on the basis ot twothirds to the affiliated State Associatiohar.d one-third to -the New Zealand Association, such distribution being lawful lind.-r Rule 19 of the .".ustralasian Association's constitution, which provides that these,funds may be used for any object, with the nr.animous consent of all a—liated Associations."
