ADDINGTON.
There was a large attendance of householders, Mr J. Down presiding. The annual balance-sheet showed a credit of £32 0s 6d. The annual report showed the number on the roll to be 667. Board scholarships were gained by three pupns, free places by eight, and proficiency certificates by twenty-nine pupils of Standard VI. The inspectors clawed the work of the school as very good. Twenty-six of tho old boys of the school had joined the forces for the front. The report and balance-sheet were adonted. The following were elected members of the committee: —Messr ß J. Down (chairman), W. Bell. N. K. Bowden, W R. Gahagan, T. Haberfieid. J. Sniller, and M. W. Woodfield. and Mesdnrnes J. A. Merry nnd A. L. Robins. There were ten nominations.
