I (Received April 2nd. 12.50 a.m.) j LONDON. April 2. ..Tho 'teamer Seven Seas, from Loni don to Liverpool, was torpedoed off i Beachy Head without warning. There i was a terrific explosion acd the bottom ! was torn out of the ship, which sank jin three minutes. Eleven men were drownod and seven saved. The Emma was nearly >->Jit in two and sank in -three minutes ! The Seven Seas was n small steamer, twenty-seven year-, old. of 1194 tons 1 gross and t>32 tons i:e_ register. Sho ! was built in IS??--? ai:d lor 1-01110 years I was known as Ibis, her name being ! changed when siie was liurcbased by i bur late own. rs. Messrs Leach and Co.. I Ltd., of Cork.
