SHIPS FOE PBODUCE.
(SI-CIA- TO "THE rBESS.") - WELLINGTON, March 26
Mr J. Findlay, chairman of the New Zealand Oversek Ship-owners' Committee, has advised the Government that, in accordance with tho agreement arrived at m London between tho Imperial Government and the shipping companies trading with New Zealand, the slapping companies representatives in New Zealand havo formed a committee, and are in communication with the London Ship-owners' Committeo as to the supply of insulated tonnage that can be made available for tho carriage of refrigerated cargo from New Zealand in connexion with tho conveyance of meat for Imperial Government purposes. The- committee will keep the Government advised from time to time of the tonnage that has been placed at its disposal. It is their intention and earnest endeavour to advance what they believe to ho the desire of the Imperial Government to furnish as prompt and regular despatches as circumstances will permit.
