One hundred and sixty miners -were entombed in the Nea River and Focahontas Consolidated Coal Aline, at Hin~ ton, as a result of 'an explosion. No rescues were made. ■ ; A later message cays that rescuers saved ten men and recovered nine bodies. Of the 132 men entombed, it is estimated that 165 are etill alivo.
