METHODIST CIRCUITS.
WOOISTON
The Woolston Methodist Circuit quarterly meeting was held at Heathcote Valley, the Rev, W. Laycock presiding over an attendance of twenty-ono officials. The membership roll was reported to be 218 seniors and 100 juniors. Tho income was £88 5s Id. and the expenditure £92 8s 4d. Good reports were received fr&m the vSunday schools of the Circuit, and it -was agreed to ask the general conference to issue printed forms for the purpose of supplying the quarterly meetings with accurate Sunday school returns each quarter. Correspondence relating to the ''Methodist Times" was referred to the Ttev. W. Itaycock and Mr Buttle to deal with. Appreciative reference was made to the work of the late Rev. J. N. Buttle, and ii resolution of condolence passed to Mrs Buttle and family. The retiring stewards, Messrs T. AY. Price Round and J. Weir were heartily thanked for their services to the circuit. Messrs 11. H. Turner and Harold Buttle were elected circuit stewards and representatives to the ensuing general conference. It was decided to hold the next quarterly meeting at Wool?ton. A vote of thanks was accorded the ladies of tho Heathcote congregation for their hospitality to the quarterly meeting.
