HOSTEL TO BE ESTABLISHED
At a meeting of the Board of Governors of Canterbury College yesterday afternoon it was decided to open a Hostel iti connexion with the Boys' High School, for the convenience of pupils from the country districts. It has been long felt that something of the kind has been necessary in order that parents might he able to send their boys to a house where they would be under official supervision.
It is expected that the Hostel will be in readiness for tho reception of boarders at the commencement of the first term in February next. Provision will not be made only for. those who are unable to go home for the week-end, but also for those who living near enough, will be able to return home from tho Saturday to the Monday.
