GREENDALE.
Sglendid rain fell throughout the week-end, and will do an immense amount of good. Harvest will be much later this year than has been tho case for some seasons past, only odd paddocks of oats having been reaped so far. Wheat is still quite green, and with the excelleufc rain will now hare every chance to fill out well. Some of tho rape crops were beginning to go off badly owing to the dry, hot weather, but will now quickly recover. Fruit is exceedingly ecarce throughout the district, owing to the severe frosts.
