The following committee was elected:—Mesdames Koss and Thomas, Messrs L. Blacfeley, Allan, Murgatroyd, Revs. Parian* and Langesen. 31r S\reney, who is leaving the district, tendered his resignation as hon. secretary, and the meeting, on the chairman's motion, accorded him a hearty rote of appreciation and thanks for Jus part valuable services.
The moist weather conditions since the New Year, and occasional showersj hare made a marked improvement in the crops. Oat crops that a. month ago seemed only fit to turn the sheep into, have come away -wonderfully, and with the fairly enre indications of good prices ruling both for oats and oatebeaf chaff, the loss to farmers owfrig j to smaller yields will not be so severely : felt. Turnip crops, where good strikes were obtained, art* doing very* well, and there is an absence of blight. Feed, of course, is a little short, but iao land on the Itowns has really been (asked to carry too much etock.
