NATIVE LAND COURT.
SITTINGS AT KAIAPOI
A sitting of the Native Land Court was held at Kaiapoi on Saturday, 'Judge Gilfedder presiding.
It was intimated that a sitting of the Native. Appellate Court would be held to-morrow, when some half-dozen applications for Europeaniaing Native land will be dealt with, as .well as three appeals from former decisions of the Native Land Court.
At Saturday's sitting the following alienations wero confirmed:—Sale of Moeruki, sections 44 and -to. by Herewini Keniara, to A. Aitchesoii: leas* of section 2. Kaiapoi, Aperahama Horomona to W. J. Forrest; lease, of section 67a, by Makarita Pihawa, to Robert McQuillan; lease of section 12, Kaiapoi, by Hakara Kerehoiua to William Crane. Confirmation was refused to the sale of section 13Sc by Hereivini Kemara t. J. A. O'Neill. James Rickers obtained partition of Orohaki, Sii'6 and 891.
Messrs Conlan, Bishop, and Baillio (Wellington) acted as solicitors for the parties. 1 The Court sits again, this afternoon, and then proceeds to Wellington.
