It is reported from Melbourne that investigations into tho recent; disappearance of £2000 worth of Commonwealth notes shows that it was the result of a carefully-planned coup. The parcels of useless paper which replaced the parcels of notes, copied the latter to the smallest detail. Apparently the coup was carried out after the parcels had left the hands of tho Treasury and postal officials at Melbourne.
