IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
IMPRACTICABLE THIS TEAR. UNOFFICIAL STATEMENT ON BIUTLSH ATTITUDE. LONDON. January 9. Reuter say;, that none of the Dominion Governments asked that th© Imperial Conference be held in 1915. The Imperial Government at the outset of tho war intimated that the conference was impracticable, amid .such distracting circumstances, and this view is now repeated in consequence of statements iv the Prc.s that Mr Fisher, on behalf of Australia, favoured a meeting. The Imperial Government has not heard any desire from the Dominions not to adhere to 'the original proposal postponing the conference until after the war, beyond the suggestion attributed to Mr Fisher.
