BEEKEEPERS' ASSOCIATION.
The quarterly meeting of the Canterbury Beekeepers' Association wan held in tho Trades. Hall. Mr E. G. Ward (president) in th. chair. Tho question of the annual field day was discussed, und arrangements wore left iv the bands of the secretary and pre.ident. Mr R. McKnight, secretary of the Cheviot branch, wrote inviting members to. attend its annual field day, to be held at Mr J. Kentoui- apiary on January 16th. 'Attention was called to the autumn show of the Chri-tchurch Horticultural Society, when it i_ hoped the Association will stafje an exhibit. The Horticultural Society is oflerine several prizes, and it is hoped members will freely cater, and co help to create, a demand for honey. It was reported , that avrangements for the export trade with the Bristol arid Dominion- Producers" Association would probably bo complete in a few week.. The proseut ec-son has been very disappointing up to <Jate, but after the rain a. fair crop may be obtained if warm yrcather follows.
