POINTS OCCUPIED AND ATTACKS REPULSED. PARIS, November 29. An official communique states: — "Tho enemy's cannonade was moro active, but he was using little hoavy artillery. Consequently »ho artillery duel was evorywhei - e to our advantage. 'Our infantry captured various points d'appui north and south of Ypres. "Three German regiments mad© an attack uorth of Arras, which completely failed. "Wβ especially progressed afc Fay, between Somme and Chaulms. "Our shells destroyed a gun emplacement and machine-gun detachment, and caused the explosion of a battery, between Vailly and Borry-au-bac. "We repulsed three- .attempts to recaptuxe ground at Brandesapt, in the Vosges."
