d Major Charters, Lieut. Buddie, and Lieut. Jebson left last night ior Wellington. Mr W. Scott, employers' representative on the Arbitration Court, has sent in his resignation. It wid take effect from January 31st. Colonel A. W. Robin, Commandant of the New Zealand forces, accompanied by his staif officer, Captain Hudson, were among last nignt's departures for the North. Sergeant McGrath, who has been in charge of the Hawera police station for some months, retired on Saturday. He joined the force in Wellington in 1876. it is not yet known who will succeed him in Hawera.
