PARIS, November 2G. Details of the recent aeroplane raid show that Squadron Commander Uri{j£s ied the flight on Saturday ~t ; ' height of 14(JO metres along tlio Rhine to Sehaflhauscn, where, no was misled by fog and bore to the left. Lieutenant Sippe and Flight Commander Habington, without seeing each other, followed the .Rhine. Lieut. Sippe eroded Lake Constance just above Use houses, and flew across the lake two metres above its suriaee, being invisiblo in the mist. When he reached Friedrichshafen he sighted Commander J.lnggs above him, attacking the Zepneliu stronghold, and sa,w shrapnel bursting round both him and Lieut. Sippe. He then dropyod bombs on tlio sheds and ■workshops, and saw the workmen fleeing in panic He returned and alighted at the starting point after an absence of three hours. Commander Babimjton alighted near by. Meanwhile Commander Brings had been wounded, arid used his revolver. Mr "Winston Church ill. replying f> a question in the House of Commons, said that the naval aviators had been j7istniete<! to attack the aircraft factory at Friedrichsbafen am! to avoid neutral territory.
