Mr T. Green, telegraphic operator at Timarit, has been promoted to tlie position of . Postmaster at Waiau, arid arrived on Wednesday to take up his now duties. The Uev. J- Nixon, Presbyterian minister at Waiau, left the district on Wednesday, his place being filled by the Rev. J. Thomson, of Central Otago.
